Video Interview with Massaki Imai, Kaizen Pioneer

Masaaki Imai is the founder of our company Kaizen Institute and author of two classics on lean management, Kaizen: The Key to Japan’s Competitive Success and Gemba Kaizen: A Commonsense, Low-cost Approach to Management he is working on his third book which addresses the leader’s role in making operational excellence sustainable. He travels the world doing gemba walks and speaking about kaizen.
In June 2011 he was in Seattle for one week to visit several of our clients. Ron Pereira from Gemba Academy joined us to record some of the gemba walk and speaking activity. he was also able to sit down with Masaaki Imai for an interview. We will release these videos through Gemba Academy soon. The video above is a preview of the interview with Mr. Imai. He talks about lean, kaizen and green, his memories of Taiichi Ohno and others from Toyota, and the most precious place the world.
